Gosia Wojas (born in Poland, based in Los Angeles, CA) is a transdisciplinary artist who holds an MFA in Art from University of California, Irvine with a Critical Theory emphasis from UCI's School of Humanities, and a BFA in Fine Art from California Institute of the Arts.

Wojas’ research framework considers contemporary notions of subjectivity within acts of transgression and transformation. Her work mediates on forms, materials and gestures in play with strategies of mimesis, proximity and performativity.

Wojas’ writing has been included in journals publishing at the crossover of art and theory, most recently in MATTER-Journal of New Materialist Research, Material-i-ty, and Flat Journal. Recently, she has participated in panels, conferences and forums on her work with feminist AI algorithms. Between the years of 2011-2021 she organized talks, screenings, exhibitions, and workshops independently, and as The Absent Museum and Projekt Papier, at venues in Los Angeles, Berlin and Gdańsk.
